Johnny Moore

A forward who played 11 full internationals for the United States.

The games that Moore played for the United States  between 1972 and 1975 included all four of the United States’ World Cup qualifiers against Canada and Mexico in 1972. Moore, who had emigrated from Scotland in 1967, played five seasons in the North American Soccer League between 1974 and 1978, the first four for the San Jose Earthquakes and then one for the Oakland Stompers. After the end of his NASL career, he played three seasons in the Major Indoor Soccer League.

Moore later was an executive with the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer.

Inducted in 1997.
