A legendary prep school coach in Pennsylvania.
Smith, who was a member of early teams at Springfield College in Massachusetts, became the soccer coach at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia in 1913 and coached that school’s team into the 1950s, as well as serving as its physical education director. He also was editor of the NCAA Soccer Guide from 1948 to 1952.
Inducted in 1951.
