Enzo Magnozzi

A team official and game promoter in New York.

Magnozzi, who was born in Italy and moved to the United States in 1930 as a child, founded the Inter Soccer Club in 1960, three years before it merged with Giuliana, the oldest Italian-American team in the country, to form a combination that was a perennial power in the German-American Soccer League of New York. He later became a promoter and was involved in staging many games in New York featuring teams from around the world.

Magnozzi, who played for several different American Soccer League and German-American Soccer League clubs in the 1930s and ’40s, was president of the German-American Soccer League from 1981 to 1983.

Inducted in 1977.
