A member of the first soccer team at Springfield College in Massachusetts, who later became coach of the Maroons and led them to four national championships. Brock began playing at Springfield in 1906 and graduated in 1910. He returned to the college as a faculty member in 1920, became head soccer coach in 1929 and coached teams that won the national championship twice and the New England Inercollegiate title four times in the next 10 years. Brock retired from his coaching position before World War II, but came out of retirement to coach Springfield through two undefeated seasons, and two more national titles, in 1946 and 1947.
