Milton “Milt” Miller

A New York newspaperman who covered soccer in that city from the 1930s to the 1960s.

At one time or another, Miller worked for the New York World-Telegram and Sun, PM, the New York Journal-American and the Long Island Press. At the time of his death, he had been a columnist for 25 years at the last of those, and his final column appeared the day before he died in 1969.

For a while, Miller was a co-owner of the New York Hakoah-Americans of the American Soccer League. He and his wife published a monthly soccer newspaper, Soccer News, beginning in the early 1950s, and she continued it for several years after his death.
