A forward who played his entire career for the Polish-American Eagles of the National Soccer League of Chicago.
Gryzik joined the Eagles in 1949, when he emigrated from Poland, and played for them until he retired in 1965 following a knee injury. He was captain of the Eagles teams that won the Illinois state cup in 1950, 1954, 1955, 1957 and 1963, and reached the National Amateur Cup final in 1955. Along the way, he set a record in the Illinois state cup with eight goals in one game.
In addition to his play for Eagles, Gryzik played for Chicago and NSL all-star selections in a number of games against touring European and Latin American clubs, and also was a member of the United States team at the 1963 Pan-American Games in Brazil.
Inducted in 1973.
