A forward who was one of the stars of the Philadelphia Nationals teams that won the ASL title three times in four years between 1949 and 1952.
Kropfelder already had an ASL title to his credit when he joined the Philadelphia Nationals in the fall of 1948, having been a member of the Baltimore Americans team that won in 1946. He also was the ASL scoring champion with 19 goals in the 1947-48 season, after which the Baltimore team folded and Kropfelder and several of his teammates moved to Philadelphia. He won ASL championships in Philadelphia in 1949, 1950 and 1951, and also took the ASL’s Lewis Cup in 1949, 1951 and 1952.
