Frank Vaughan

A defender who was a member of the United States squad at the inaugural World Cup in Uruguay in 1930.

At the time of his selection to that World Cup team, Vaughan was playing for Ben Millers of the St. Louis Soccer League, one of several outstanding St. Louis teams he played for during his long and successful career. Along with his club teammate Ralph Tracy, Vaughan started the tradition of St. Louis players on U.S. World Cup rosters.
