Djorn Buchholz, Executive Director of the National Soccer Hall of Fame, will join the Society for a SASH SESSION on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 12:00 Noon EDT.
Buchholz will talk about his tenure at the Hall from its 2018 opening in Frisco, developing a new process for the induction of Hall of Famers, managing the organization during a global pandemic, and plans for the future. After his brief presentation, there will be ample time for a questions and answers session.
Before going the Hall Buchholz spent the last 20 years in upper management of professional soccer in areas ranging from marketing and operations to administration and public relations. He also was CEO of the Minnesota Stars FC/Minnesota United of North American Soccer League, Director of Fan Experience for Sporting KC of Major League Soccer, and President of Louisville City FC of the United Soccer League.
